grumble, grumble, grumble...

Man, life keeps interrupting the interesting bits like my research on the concept of academic librarian competency. I was getting to some fascinating realizations about the research and I get dumped headfirst into a different research project and higher priority work. I can't complain too much as I'll be getting a paper out of that project but darn, I was clipping along at such a productive pace that it kinda now feels like I'm a bird that crashed into a window. I've been lying stunned, on the pavement for about two months now whimpering to get back to the research. Aaargh.

But that's not to say it hasn't been an incredibly productive "daze" as I've been completing long overdue stuff along with the higher priority work - I don't want you to be thinking I'm sitting on my duff eh? I guess it's my need for multiple days (time-wise) to just do research that makes it difficult to use this research to "in-fill" other work. Enough bitching, back to the other stuff...
